2008 Royal Enfield Electra “The Pup” - Built by The Old Empire Motorcycle. The base for this bike may not be vintage but the form sure is. Somewhere between bobber and boardtracker, this “pup” hit’s the mark. Powered by a 500cc air-cooled thumper may not get you to your destination MotoGP fast but it will most certainly get you there in style.

1971 Triumph Tiger 650 - This Triumph was built by a bloke in Oz and inspired by Dues bobbers. What a brilliant job. The bike was found on eBay but the engine and forks were pretty much the only parts retained. Frame is from Factory Metal Works which produce killer Triumph parts. You usually don’t see this type of awesomness come out of anything but a pro shop. Australia’s bike scenes got it figured out.

1971 Honda CB 750 - Brats are quickly becoming the new thing. Frankly I love em. It’s like taking every bike and turning them into a Triumph Scrambler, which is pretty much the best bike ever.

This bike was built by Steel Bent Customs, they’ve built a number of brilliant functional bikes anyone would be proud to own.

This is a short film by Sunny Zhao showcasing Classified Moto’s XV750 he’s using in his film Reciprocity. Couldn’t find a lot of information about the film but the short trailer looks rad.

1982 Yamaha XV920 (Virago) - Custom shop Classified Moto has been building some unreal bikes for sometime now, it’s time I posted one up here. Their bikes are about as original and as aggresive as I’ve seen come out of vintage custom shops.

Plus, check out their website and you’ll see the not only build bike, they make furniture as well,

1983 Suzuki GSX250 “Lil’ Brat” - I’m starting to see this more of this type of trend, brats and bobbers based off these crazy Japanese custom bikes. This one is tastefully and done right. Love them bars too.

1971 Honda CB450 Bobber - Found this little jem while surfing Google Images. Love the drag bars and pipes. I’m guessing this would wake the neighborhood.

1952 Vincent Black Shadow - Built by Falcon Motorcycles for the modern era. This bike has been staring at me all month from my BikeExif calendar. I figured it was time to look a bit more into the bike as May comes to a close. Falcon’s attention to detail is nothing short of stellar. The way the tank was formed around the velocity stacks is brilliant and I’m also guessing there isn’t one piece of chrome on it, it’s just highly polished aluminum. Stunning bike.

Garage Project Motorcycles

Back in December I posted a CB350 ‘Brat’ I saw on BikeEXIF„ and to this day I still go back and stare at it. I’ve known this bike was built by GPM but I’ve never really had a chance to check out their company’s website because most of their content gets blocked by the filters at work. Yes, I shouldn’t be spending my time at work looking at motorcycles but I do… get over it.

Last night I logged onto their tumblr from home and couldn’t be more impressed. The thing that stood out most was how they posted the bike that inspired their projects. It doesn’t get any classier than that. There is none of this ’ I inspired me’ crap. They soak up what the custom motorcycle community has to offer and apply it. Kudo’s to them.

If you have time over this long weekend please check them out, they’ve earned it.

1939 Triumph 3HW Bobber - Had never heard of this bike before seeing it on Pipeburn. After a little research I must say I’ve been missing out. A 350cc single cylinder built for the military. This one’s been bobbed out and looks great… oh, and it’s more exhaust porn.
